Call for Student Volunteers
We are currently receiving applications for student volunteers to participate in the ServDes.2023 Conference organization.
Scholar volunteers are essential to making conferences like ServDes happen. Therefore we will be selecting undergrad and graduate students from anywhere in the world who can be with us throughout the conference organization. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, please apply to the selection process.
Volunteers will be waived the Conference registration fees, including access to all event activities (technical sessions, workshops, keynotes, discussion rounds, student forum), lunch meals, and coffee breaks on all event days. Unfortunately, the Conference cannot support travel costs (transportation, visa, etc.) and accommodation.
The volunteer duties will allow students to interact closely with the researchers presenting and running sessions at the conference and to meet other attendees and fellow students. To be part of the Service Design community is an excellent opportunity for scholars from different stages of their apprenticeship: to gain knowledge, make new friends and professional connections, find mentors or advisors, and many more!
Requirements
Volunteers must be undergraduate, Master’s, or Ph.D. students during the 2022-2023 academic year. Students of all backgrounds, regardless of discipline, and from all geographic locations are encouraged to apply. No previous experience as a conference volunteer is required, though we look for enthusiastic and reliable people. As we have a limited number of volunteer slots, we will prioritize applicants who have submitted a proposal (long and short papers, workshops, or student forum abstract) for the conference.

When applying, you will be asked questions about your previous volunteer experience and motivations for being a volunteer. We just want to get to know you better, and your answers will help us learn more about your background, interests, and aspirations.
We will also ask you to tell us about your preferences regarding what parts of the ServDes.2023 program you would like to contribute and how you can help us. At this stage, the application form answers are only indicative, guiding the recruiting process.
